If you’re here looking for easy dinner ideas, you probably got here from following the link in my menu planning guide and workbook. If you don’t have that, grab it here (it’s free!!). In the guide, you’ll learn how to figure out what to make for dinner that your family will like. The beauty of the guide is that it’s not just a list of food to cook.

60 Easy Dinner Ideas to Inspire you at Meal Time
However, sometimes you just need a little starting point if you’re stuck. In that case, I wanted to give you a helpful resource of the meals my family likes. The links just take you to blogs where I’ve either made that recipe specifically, or it’s very, very similar to a meal that I make that I don’t use a recipe for.
Some ideas (like spaghetti, tacos, and chili dogs) don’t have linked recipes because it’s really just basic putting together of store bought ingredients. It’s important to remember that not every single dinner needs to be a fancy recipe. Sometimes just some grilled chicken, steamed rice, and frozen broccoli is super delicious and just the nourishment we need.

One of my most popular Instagram posts is a simple list of dinner ideas organized by the main protein of the recipe. I’m not sure why it struck a chord with so many people, but I guess everyone just needs some ideas!
List Easy Dinner Ideas in your Planner
The way I usually choose what to make for dinner is by looking in my freezer to see what meat I have that I can thaw. To make a functional list like this in your planner, just make sure you organize it in a way that works for how you’re choosing dinner. You can also print out the Dinner Favorites page from the free workbook! Hint: Print it at 80% to fit in a 7×9 planner and always have easy dinner ideas at hand when you’re menu planning.

Easy Meal Ideas for Breakfast and Lunch
Let me know if you’d like a similar list like this for Breakfast and Lunch! We keep it simple around here (duh) and have a lot less variety for breakfast and lunch ideas, but I’d be happy to make another page like this is someone wants it. Also, is there any interest in a meal prep checklist? I’m kind of hyper-focused on menu planning right now so I think it might be fun to put that together. Let me know!
