How to Actually Stick to Your Goals | Erin Condren Monthly Planner Setup
If you feel like your goals are stuck in your PowerSheets (and not showing up in real life) you’re not alone. Let’s reset for April and set up my Erin Condren Monthly Planner for the month! I’ll use my Tending List as a pre-planning tool to get my goals into my planner so they actually happen.

Pre-Planning Your Erin Condren Monthly Planner Setup
Before touching the monthly calendar, I started with a monthly reset and brain dump in my PowerSheets. It is so important to look at what you want to make progress on before the month actually begins. For April, I am making good progress on personal goals, but I really want to focus on home, faith, and health.

For my health goals, I am currently working through the AIP reintroduction phase. It is getting a little hard because I’m eating the same things all the time. But I will reintroduce 1 new ingredient every Wednesday: sugar snap peas, ghee, egg yolks, green beans, then sesame oil.
For my home goals, we are working on the sewing room. I need to declutter the cabinets, reorganize my craft supplies, and fix or replace the wobbly ceiling fan, and install a smart switch. I also want to finish up my Strawberry Social quilt this month so I can move on to my next project in May.
Setting Up the Monthly Calendar in Your Erin Condren Monthly Planner Setup
Once I knew what my goals are, I moved over to the actual calendar pages in my planner. I prefer a Monday start for my calendar, so I used PlannerKate stickers to adjust the days of the week and the date dots to match.

I plugged in all of the hard dates first. This includes Good Friday, Easter, my son’s AP exam prep, and his orthodontist appointment. I also made sure to mark the Erin Condren LifePlanner launch on the 13th, along with a weekend trip to Austin.
To keep the calendar looking clean and functional, I use little icons at the bottom right corner of the boxes to represent recurring tasks and events such as family game night, my quilting day, and Sam’s Club runs. Using icons saves so much space and keeps the calendar from looking cluttered.
Organizing the Dashboard in Your Erin Condren Monthly Planner Setup
The dashboard pages are where we incorporate our Tending List goals into our everyday life. I use my printable sticky notes to build functional lists right on the dashboard.

First, I set up a general to-do list for my recurring monthly tasks. These tasks include things like oiling the cutting boards, doing a budget review, dropping off donations, and visiting the library. And I use a sticky note to track my weekly rhythms, like attending church, studying 1 chapter of Genesis, and doing my weekly AIP reintroductions.
I absolutely hate rewriting things, which is why I love using sticky notes. I use a small sticky note for my weekly cleaning checklist and another one for my debit card tracker. When a new week starts, these notes will actually live on my weekly pages, and I can just move them from week to week as I progress through the month without having to rewrite anything.
Using Project Pages for Your Erin Condren Monthly Planner Setup
The blank notes page next to the dashboard layout is reserved specifically for projects. I used a bit of thin planner washi tape at the top and bottom to decorate it just a little bit, and then I used a script sticker to label the page.

I used a sticky note to map out the exact dates and ingredients for my 5 AIP reintroductions. Then, I created 2 distinct checklist section. I wrote out the action steps for the sewing room, like fixing the fan and installing a smart plug for my iron. Finally, I listed the steps to finish my quilt, which includes cutting , piecing , purchasing the backing fabric, quilting, and binding it.
Now I have all my goals, to-do lists, and projects in 1 spot. I don’t have to flip through a bunch of different books to find what I need, so I won’t forget to actually work on my goals.
